General use

Adding a bit of CRYSTALLINE H2O every week with a reduced amount of chlorine or bromine, combined with regular cleaning of your filter according to the manufacturer’s recommendations, will help keep your water impeccably clear, and soft and safe for swimmers.

The amount of CRYSTALLINE H2O to use depends on how much water is in your pool. Use the correspondence chart on the product packaging or on this page as a handy reference.

Once you know how many grams to put in your pool, find the corresponding graduation mark on the cup provided. You may want to draw a line with a permanent marker at that position on the cup for future use.

Pool in operation

With CRYSTALLINE H2O, you can reduce the amount of free chlorine to a threshold of only 0.8 ppm (mg/L). Without our product, the minimum threshold is 2 ppm (mg/L).

You can calculate the volume of water your pool holds using one of the simple equations below. Measurements are in metres, and the result is in cubic metres (m³). (1 m³ = 1,000 litres of water). Round the result up for a number that’s easier to use and remember.

Round pool : diameter x diameter x depth x 0.78
Example: 2 m x 2 m x 1.50 m x 0.78 = 4.68 m³ (round up to 5 m³)

Oval pool : length x width x depth x 0.89
EExample: 2 m x 1.50 m x 1.50 x 0.89 = 4 m³
This pool contains 4,000 litres of water.
Square or rectangular pool : length x width x depth (Most of the time, the depth of an in-ground pool is not uniform. It’s probably best to refer to the manufacturer’s specifications for the volume of water.)

OPENING THE POOL

Open your pool as you normally would. Once you have balanced the alkalinity (between 80 and 120) and pH (between 7.2 and 7.8), determine how much CRYSTALLINE H2O to add to your pool using the table for pools in operation.

Pour one dose into the skimmer and dilute another dose in hot water before distributing it throughout the pool water.

A double dose is only required when opening and closing your pool.

CLOSING THE POOL

Before lowering the water level in your pool, add the regular dose of CRYSTALLINE H2O to the skimmer and dilute another dose in hot water before distributing it throughout the water. Let the filter run for 12 hours so the water can circulate and the product has enough time to properly mix with the water.

Finally, close your pool as you normally would.

IF YOU WILL BE AWAY FOR SEVERAL DAYS

Just before leaving, add chlorine and make sure the alkalinity and pH levels are where they should be. Then, double the regular dose of CRYSTALLINE H2O. Our product should help keep your water clear for up to two weeks.

SMALL HEATED POOL

Dose suggested twice a week:

Regardless of the size of your small heated pool (up to approximately 2,000 litres), just add 2 g to the skimmer twice a week.*

Maintain the level of free chlorine at no less than 1 mg/L.

Double the dose when opening your pool at the beginning of the season or when you change the water.
